GCA’s Adaptive Edge program is proud to support the Trumbull Special Olympics Gymnastics Team for its second year! This special program brings athletes together to experience the joy of gymnastics, develop new skills, build friendships, and prepare for the excitement of the March 2027 competition.
Through fun and engaging sessions, athletes have the opportunity to learn routines on different gymnastics apparatus, practice their skills, and work toward their individual goals in a supportive environment. As the team begins another exciting season, GCA hopes to welcome more athletes and continue growing this wonderful program. We are also working toward expanding participation to include Fairfield.
Start Date: Friday, November 6, 2026
Time: 6:30–7:30 PM
Competition: March 2027
Program: Trumbull Special Olympics Gymnastics Team
The program is led by Coach Brendan, a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Southern Connecticut State University.
With a passion for inclusive recreation, Coach Brendan developed this program to help ensure that individuals with disabilities have access to the same exciting recreational opportunities as everyone else. Each session is designed to be fun, engaging, and empowering, allowing athletes to explore new skills, strengthen their abilities, build confidence, and form meaningful friendships.
Under his guidance, athletes are encouraged to celebrate their progress, enjoy being part of a team, and experience the fulfillment that comes from learning and achieving together.
