Spirit School of Connecticut is a spiritual school for children and families that fosters self awareness, authentic expression, and compassionate leadership. It is our mission to empower the future generation of brilliant, compassionate leaders through integrated physical, mental, emotional and social learning.
The following classes are designed to introduce you to the benefits created by the Spirit School of Connecticut program for the empowerment of children and natural growth of family life. Stay tuned as we unveil more curriculum throughout the end of this year!
Spirit School Yoga of this age is based on the principles of empowering children to make their own decisions while experiencing their surroundings. As the parent/guardian are lead through a Yoga practice of deep breathing, relaxation and safe, expansive asana (poses), the child will begin to adapt to the rhythm of the class. He or she will mimic, play and connect naturally which guides them into practicing their own yoga. This class will include fun props that stimulate sensory perception, creativity and joy. This yoga class is for children of varied abilities and needs. Practice breathing techniques to calm, energize, and balance the nervous system, practice flowing sequences, challenging poses, partner and group poses, restorative yoga, and deep relaxation.
Spirit School Yoga is founded in empowering and fostering curiosity, adventure, and creativity. The classes will be taught with joyous resonance that leaves space for imagination and freedom of expression. The class will include Yoga (independent, group and partner poses), sound and music therapy, and the use of fun and safe props that will be used differently in each class, offering a playful and unique experience each time. This yoga class is for children and adolescence of varied abilities and needs.
