Program Commitment Guidelines – Tumbling and Cheerleading
If you’re considering enrolling in the tumbling and cheer program that requires a 12-week commitment, it’s important to understand the terms and conditions associated with such a commitment.
Commitment Period: The program requires participants to commit to attending classes for the entire 12-week session. This commitment ensures that participants have enough time to learn and progress through the skills and routines taught in the program.
Cancellation or Withdrawal: If you decide to cancel or withdraw from the program before completing the full 12 weeks, a $75 fee is charged if you withdraw from the program before the end of the 12-week session.
Notification Requirement: The program requires you to provide 30 days written notice before withdrawing. This notice period allows the program to manage their class sizes and scheduling effectively.
Purpose of Commitment: The 12-week commitment is typically designed to ensure continuity in learning and skill development. It also helps the program maintain a stable roster of participants throughout the session.

In consideration of the services of GCA Parkour LLC and Gymnastics and Cheerleading Academy of Connecticut LLC, their agents, owners, officers, volunteers, participants, employees, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf (hereinafter collectively referred to as “GCA”), I hereby agree to release, indemnify, and discharge GCA, on behalf of myself, my spouse, my children, my parents, my heirs, assigns, personal representative & estate as follows:
1. I acknowledge that my participation in Parkour training and instruction activities, Gymnastics training and instruction activities and all other activities in this facility entails known and unanticipated risks that could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to myself, to property, or to third parties. I understand that such risks simply cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity.
The risks include, among other things: slips and falls; falling from equipment; rope burns; pinches, scrapes, twists and jolts that could result in scratches, bruises, sprains, lacerations, fractures, concussions, or even more severe life threatening hazards; muscular soreness, tears, strains, sprains, dislocations, fractures and broken bones; cuts, bruises, and muscle soreness; wrist, arm and shoulder injuries; musculoskeletal injuries including head, neck, and back; injuries to internal organs; the negligence of other people; my own physical condition; and the risk of emotional and psychological injuries or physical damage associated with this activity. Traveling to and from shows, meets and exhibitions raises the possibility of any manner of transportation accidents. In any event, if your child is injured, your child may require medical assistance, at your own expense.
Furthermore, GCA employees have difficult jobs to perform. They seek safety, but they are not infallible. They might be unaware of a participant’s fitness or abilities. They might misjudge the weather or other environmental conditions. They may give incomplete warnings or instructions, and the equipment being used might malfunction.
2. I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks existing in this activity. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary, and I elect to participate in spite of the risks.
3. I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless GCA from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action, which are in any way connected with my participation in this activity or my use of GCA’s equipment or facilities, including any such claims which allege negligent acts or omissions of GCA.
4. Should GCA or anyone acting on their behalf, be required to incur attorney’s fees and costs to enforce this agreement, I agree to indemnify and hold them harmless for all such fees and costs.
5. I certify that I have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage I may cause or suffer while participating, or else I agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage myself. I further certify that I am willing to assume the risk of any medical or physical condition I may have.
6. In the event that I file a lawsuit against GCA, I agree to do so solely in the state of Connecticut, and I further agree that the substantive law of that state shall apply in that action without regard to the conflict of law rules of that state. I agree that if any portion of this agreement is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining document shall remain in full force and effect. By signing this document, I acknowledge that if anyone is hurt or property is damaged during my participation in this activity, I may be found by a court of law to have waived my right to maintain a lawsuit against GCA on the basis of any claim from which I have released them herein.
I have had sufficient opportunity to read this entire document. I have read and understood it, and I agree to be bound by its terms.
Parent and guest agreement No parents or guests are allowed in any of the gyms, on gymnastics/parkour equipment or foam pits at any time. This includes regularly scheduled classes and birthday parties. A liability waiver for each participating student must be signed by a parent or guardian at GCA before beginning classes. Students over age 18 may sign their own waivers.
Payments Tuition can be paid in full for the semester or you may pay it in five installments. To do the installments, a valid credit card must be on file. The installments will be charged between the 1st and the 7th of every month with the first payment being charged at the time of registration.
DEFAULT AND LATE PAYMENTS: All payments are due within the first 3 business days of the month. Should you default on any payment obligation as called for in this agreement, GCA will have the right to declare the entire remaining balance due and payable and all costs of collection, including but not limited to collection agency fees, court costs, and attorney fees. A default occurs when any payment due under this agreement is more than ten days late. SHOULD ANY MONTHLY PAYMENT BECOME MORE THAN TEN DAYS PAST DUE, YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $30.00 LATE FEE. AN ADDITIONAL SERVICE FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ANY CHECK or CREDIT CARD RETURNED FOR INSUFFICIENT FUNDS OR ANY OTHER REASON.
Payment Agreement You may cancel with a full refund after two consecutive classes from your start date. After that time there will be no refund given. You are responsible for payment through the end of the session. If you choose not to finish the session you are still responsible for all tuition until the end of the session. The annual membership fee is $45 per family and is due upon registration. The registration fee is non-refundable.
I understand a $30 fee will be added in the event of insufficient funds or declined credit/debit card. Any lost/stolen/compromised credit/debit cards must have proof from the bank/company to receive any tuition credit for this $30 fee. Credit made back onto cards will only receive $20.
Discounts We offer a 10% sibling discount.
Missed class All make up classes must be completed within the current session. Any child missing class due to an extended illness or injury will need to provide a doctor’s note to receive credit on their GCA account.
Medical Release I give permission for GCA, its coaches and owners to seek emergency medical treatment on behalf of my child, in the event that they are unable to reach a parent or guardian.
Photo Release I give my permission for photos and videos of my child, taken during class and/or competitions to be used on GCA’s website, social media and other marketing materials.
Management Management GCA may suspend or cancel the rights, privileges, or membership of any GCA member whose actions are detrimental to the enjoyment of the facilities by other members or any conduct which in the opinion of the management is prejudicial to welfare, good order, and character of GCA. Any inappropriate behavior, i.e. profanity or yelling, incidental to the enjoyment of the club by other members may result in membership termination without a refund and registration fee shall be forfeited. Management has the right to cancel any membership for non-payment of their membership account balance.
