MEET OUR STAFF

Hannah Lobdell

I embarked on my coaching journey in 1999 when my high school coach, Darcy, extended a life-changing opportunity at my childhood gym in Fairfield. Fast forward 25 incredible years, and Coach Darcy has once again welcomed me to her team, this time at GCA Norwalk. It’s a full-circle moment that warms my heart!

In those years in between, I’ve coached gymnastics at all levels, from parent-toddler classes to competitive teams. My experience has taken me to lead gymnastics programs in Massachusetts and Colorado, where I continually deepened my passion for the sport. On the side, I’m dedicated to creating educational content that empowers fellow gymnastics coaches to deliver exceptional classes. I’m committed to helping coaches create safe, supportive, and inclusive environments for every child.

Outside the gym, I’m a lover of live music, an adventurer in exploring the vibrant dining scenes of different cities, and a beach enthusiast. My downtime is spent kicking it easy with my 14-year-old tuxedo cat, Marley, and bingeing Schitt’s Creek episodes on Netflix.

My ultimate goal is to use gymnastics as a tool to foster environments where every child can feel safe, supported, and like they truly belong. I’m looking forward to seeing you in the gym- come say hello!

Adam Angelucci

My gymnastics quest started 20 years ago when my mom signed me up because I was terrible at soccer.

From ages 5-12 I attended gymnastic classes for three nights a week and three hours a practice, year round. Starting to compete at Level 2 and finishing at Level 7, I had nothing but love for the integrity & discipline of personal accountability that the sport had taught me at such a young age.

Gymnastics was the best foundation I could have ever asked for in my developing years. Having the early advantage of lean strength and dynamic flexibility training had allowed me to excel in my sports journey as a teenager. Going onto play Football & Wrestling in high school and Division 1 Rugby in college, I was never injured and always playing.

I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelors in Business Management, have done 4 years in the CT Army National Guard as a Military Police Officer, and I’ve even lived in a dirty hut in the Hawaiian jungle for a year as a farm worker. When not at work I enjoying spending time reading, speed walking, eating oatmeal, lifting weights, hanging out with my plants (I have over 40 in my apartment), and even hanging out with my human friends.

Grateful for this opportunity to coach the sport that molded me into the man I am today, working with kids has grown to be one of my favorite journeys to date!
