What are the Benefits of Participating in the Adaptive Edge Program?

Our Programs:

Adaptive – NinjaZone

Length: 45 Minutes
Ages: 4+
Cost: $225 Tuition (10 Classes)
Individual Participation
Adaptive Edge Ninja classes are designed to provide a fun, engaging, and inclusive experience for children and adults with disabilities. Our program combines elements of gymnastics, obstacle course training, and movement-based play to help develop strength, coordination, confidence, and social skills. With specially trained instructors and a supportive environment, each class is tailored to meet individual needs, ensuring that every participant can safely explore, challenge themselves, and celebrate their achievements. Whether climbing, balancing, or jumping, our Ninja classes empower individuals of all abilities to move, grow, and have fun in a way that suits them best.

Adaptive – Gymnastics

Length: 1 Hour
Ages: 4+
Cost: $250 Tuition (10 Classes)
Parent Participation
Adaptive Edge Gymnastics offers a unique open-play experience where children with disabilities can explore, move, and play freely in a safe and inclusive environment. With parent participation encouraged, families can engage together as their child navigates soft mats, balance beams, trampolines, and other adaptive equipment designed for all abilities. Our open-play format allows each participant to move at their own pace, building confidence, coordination, and strength through self-guided exploration. With supportive instructors on hand to offer guidance and encouragement, Adaptive Edge Gymnastics creates a fun, stress-free space where movement is celebrated, and every child can thrive.

Adaptive – Cheer Team

Length: 1 Hour Per Week
Ages: 10+
Cost: $60 per month
(Openings Close in December)
Come join our team as we practice elements of competitive cheerleading in a safe and fun way for all athletes, including learning and performing a full length routine at local competitions.

What is Recreational Therapy?

Discover the joy and freedom of Recreation Therapy at GCA, where we’re dedicated to enhancing the functioning, independence, and well-being of individuals with disabilities through engaging recreational activities. This vibrant program is expertly led by Coach Brendan, a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Southern Connecticut State University.

Coach Brendan has passionately developed this class with a vision to ensure that individuals with disabilities receive the same exhilarating recreational opportunities as everyone else. Each session is crafted to be not only fun and engaging but also empowering, helping participants to thrive in an environment that celebrates diversity and inclusivity. Join us and experience the transformative power of recreation with Coach Brendan, where every activity is an opportunity to explore new skills and create lasting friendships in a supportive community.
